Grand National Gun Club
MISSION STATEMENT
The Grand National Gun Club, Inc., in conjunction with the Grand National Quail Club Inc and Grand National Quail Foundation Inc, is dedicated to involving the youth of Northwest Oklahoma in the sport of shooting, gun safety, hunting safety, and to offer the citizens of Enid, Garfield County and Northwest Oklahoma a quality shooting range facility for sport shooting.
The GNGC was started on March 1, 1997 when it purchased the Enid Elks Gun Club. The GNGC has been involved with the training of Garfield County 4-H shooters and sponsor both spring and Fall 4-H regional shoots. Participation at these events has been exceptional with approximately 150 youth shooters at each event. The GNGC has been involved with the NRA in the annual sponsorship of the YHEC shoot and the NRA "Women on Target" event. The GNGC sponsors registered ATA trapshoots each year as well as sponsoring league shooting (trap, skeet, and 5-stand). The GNGC provides ongoing education by hosting Hunter Safety Courses with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife and supplying the instructors.
The GNGC is open to the public each Wednesday, April through October. The GNGC offers its facilities to groups for special shoots or functions at the GNGC clubhouse. |
